Holistic Pet Cuisine knows the difference between coconut oil and fish oil! Do you? 561-241-9151

These two types of oils are simply different!

What is fish oil? As you know fish oil is oil from fish!

It is a long-chain fatty acid and an Omega 3 polyunsaturated fat.

The EFA’S or essential fatty acids in fish oils from cold water fish are called EPA AND DHA.

We suggest you use a clean fish oil which will provide support for your pets skin and coat.

What is coconut oil?

Coconut oil , is a medium – chain fatty acid and a saturated fat but not the kind that is found in animal fats.

Coconut oil is converted completely different than fish oils.

Since it is a medium-chain fatty acid it is converted to different substances in the body and will off different support for your pets.

Coconut oil is comprised of lauric acid, caprylic acid and caprice acid.

Lauric acid supports the combat of viral , bacterial and protozoal infections in your pets.

In addition, for dogs that are overweight coconut oil can be beneficial !

To sum it up fish oil supports all functions that involve a healthy inflammatory response  while coconut oil supports anti-viral and bacterial functions as well as metabolism and healthy skin.

My suggestion is to use them both! Be proactive!
